PANASONIC LUMIX 50-200MM F2.8-4 ASPH. POWER O.I.S LEICA

The Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 50-200mm f/2.8-4.0 ASPH Power OIS Lens is an excellent lens which would make a fantastic addition to the kit bag of lots of different kinds of photographers who own Micro Four Thirds cameras. 

A focal range of 100-400mm makes it flexible for a variety of subjects - the obvious choices being wildlife, sport and action, but it’s also useful for some other kinds of subjects, such as portraits and macro. You could also use it for picking out details in certain subjects, such as landscapes and architecture. 

It perfectly complements the other two lenses in the same range as this, having all three in your kit bag should see you covered for just about every situation. Having a wide maximum aperture of f/2.8-f/4.0 also results in some very pleasing shallow depth of field effects, while the bokeh is also very well rendered. 

Focusing is fast, quiet and accurate, making it ideal for use with something like the Panasonic G9 and shooting at fast frame rates like 20fps. The silent focusing also makes it an excellent choice for video work, so you might also like to consider it if you’re using a GH5 or GH5S. 

The design is simple, as well as being rugged and dependable, making it ideal for using in all manner of different weather conditions. Considering you have an equivalent 100-400mm focal length on offer with this lens, it’s also much smaller and lighter than DSLR or CSCs with larger sensors equivalent - adding this to your kit bag doesn’t add too much bulk, giving you the option to have it with you “just in case”. 

Optical image stabilisation does a good job to help keep your shots steady, even when shooting handheld or in lower light conditions. The lens also does a fantastic job of keeping flare, ghosting and chromatic aberrations to an absolute minimum.
